Creator of a very personal iconography, Hugo does not need adjectives, without dramatizing he simply says: This is what I do and shows an avant-garde work that has no hidden codes but it does have speech, “Life such as art is not a science”… He relates on his manifesto.
Born Artist with a firm stroke and refine technique, his plastic and visual speech is as solid as his career of creator. With more than 18 years of trajectory in different disciplines of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, drawing and design). Aguilar has known how to capitalize on evolution his involuntary but blameless pace through each of the different experimented currents; From the realism to a more pronounced abstraction, from the classic to the present modernism, even touching sensitive fibers of the well known conceptualism and his fleeting tendencies.
In recent years, his work has transcended at a steady and accelerated pace, even exceeding his own expectations. Reaching places like Australia where his work is permanently exhibited in one of the largest and most important galleries in the Oceanic Continent. Costa Rica, Cartago 2016, where he was recognized as the first foreign artist to exhibit at the "Centro de la Cultura Cartaginesa". France, May 2017 at the Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Dijon was awarded by the association "Viva México" and the "Association Au Coin du Feu" ... with the "Escargot D ́ Argent", recognition of the originality of the work of the. United States and Canada as the main export source of it. South America and of course Mexico where in 2017 he received an Honorable Mention with his work "GUARDIAN PRIMITIVO II" at the 8th Biennial of Visual Arts of Baja California Sur, which was held at the prestigious "Carlos Olachea" Art Gallery. In 2019 Hugo was invited to be part of the first Mexican Delegation to exhibit at the international “Art Capital 2019”. Art Fair that takes place every year in the imposing "Grand Palais des Beaux-Arts" in Paris, France.
Beyond the artist, Hugo is a man of risks. It has recently become a trend in the world of tequila thanks to his collaborations with two important brands and families in the world of tequila, thanks to which Aguilar has opened a new window as a showcase for his work.

Creador de una iconografía muy personal, Hugo no necesita adjetivos, sin dramatizar simplemente dice: Esto es lo que hago y muestra una obra de vanguardia que no tiene códigos ocultos, pero sí discurso.
Artista nato de trazo firme y técnica depurada. Su discurso plástico y visual es tan sólido como su carrera de creador. Con 20 años de trayectoria y experiencia en diferentes disciplinas de las artes visuales, Aguilar ha sabido capitalizar en evolución su paso involuntario pero irreprochable por cada una de las distintas corrientes experimentadas; Del realismo a una abstracción más pronunciada, del clásico y el barroco al modernismo actual, tocando incluso fibras sensibles del conceptualismo y sus tendencias fugaces.
En los últimos años, su trabajo ha ido trascendiendo a un ritmo firme y acelerado, superando incluso sus propias expectativas. Llegando a lugares como Australia donde su obra se exhibe permanentemente en una de las Galerías más grandes e importantes del Continente Oceánico. Costa Rica, Cartago 2016, donde fue reconocido como el primer artista extranjero en exponer en el “Centro de la Cultura Cartaginesa”. Francia, mayo de 2017 en el Consulado Honorario de México en Dijon fue premiado por la asociación “Viva México” y la “Association Au Coin du Feu”... con el “Escargot D ́ Argent”, reconocimiento a la originalidad de su trabajo. Estados Unidos y Canadá como su principal fuente de exportación. Sudamérica y por supuesto México donde en 2017 recibió una Mención Honorífica con su obra “GUARDIAN PRIMITIVO II” en la 8ª Bienal de Artes Visuales de Baja California Sur, misma que se llevó a cabo en la prestigiosa Galería de Arte “Carlos Olachea”. En 2019 Hugo fue invitado a formar parte de la primera Delegación Mexicana en exponer en el internacional “Art Capital 2019”. Feria de Arte que se realiza cada año en el imponente “Grand Palais des Beaux-Arts” en París, Francia.
Mas allá del artista, Hugo es un hombre de riesgos. Recientemente se está convirtiendo en una tendencia en el mundo del tequila gracias a sus colaboraciones con dos importantes marcas y familias del mundo del tequila, gracias a ello Aguilar ha abierto una nueva ventana como escaparate para su trabajo.
